To say that Martin is passionate about Country Music is a slight understatement. It all started at a very early age when his family bought him a set of drums for his birthday and he found that Country Music and he had something in common, whether it was the beat, the rhythm, the lyrics he doesn’t know, but he was just totally hooked.
Passions.....
Garth Brooks was immediately a personal favourite. Martin believes that the man is a legend in the world of Country Music and is someone that he looks up to as a singer and as a person, a great role model. Garth won “Entertainer of the Year” at the recent CMA awards for the fifth time, a first for any artist and with that sort of pedigree to emulate, Martin feels that he is on the right track. This is not to say that he is trying to be a Garth Brooks copy. He feels that every singer what ever the genre must find his or her own unique sound and style. This does not happen overnight, it takes time and hard work but something that he is striving hard to achieve.
